I won a bike on fleabay a couple of weeks ago and paid by PayPal and the guy squealed like a pig. Wanted cash and collection within 48 hours. Seemed like a control freak to me!!! So paying by Paypal is no guarantee the seller will not whinge.

they take a very dim view of people that offer paypal and then dont follow through. in fact anything that affects their cut they will act on swiftly.

That nice Colnago Master that Benjibars was trying to sell here http://www.lfgss.com/thread43566.html for £700 is now on the dreaded ebay

dont worry, just pay by paypal as it was an option. the seller cant really whine.
note to nogah, he placed a bid when the price was much lower but dont know if he followed through with it. I did not bid as I wasn't comfortable with the no-Paypal arrangement and wasnt too keen to go through another "But it was listed there!!!" word war. Plenty of Brooks saddles around, already have an eye on a few other :)

Last time I tried to sell something on Ebay, sellers were obliged to offer PAYPAL as an option, which is thoughtful, considering the fees involved.

Can someone please buy it so I don't have to.

It's too small for the current owner that's for sure.
-
• #25939
Do you think?
He said he was 6'1 which makes me think this will be too small for me.
-
• #25940
It's way too small. I'm 6' and have the same model of frame in a 57S (sloping). That one looks like it's at least two sizes smaller.

Love the line :
2 bike *lockers *INCLUDED!
Looks a bit shifty to me.

I thought it looked a bit shifty aswell. But two locks included what a deal!

Thanks mate, don't want to drop the cash on a frame that doesn't fit, might even go down the route of picking up an old frame and fitting a new(ish) groupset.

Edit :
Currently 6p.... I'm sure it'll go up....
I'm bidding on this, as I'm sure others are too, but thought I'd just throw that out there...

What would you say would be a good price for this? I'm thinking of buying it:
You better have deep pockets mate!
Won't go for less than 4/500. Theres a Mercian fixed conversion (full bike) going for 300 BIN you might want to look at if you have more modest means, otherwise goodluck on that one as it is a beauty!
As Gregorio says...it will have long legs,.,.though in your favour...the advert says...''*there is a thin crack from the end of the (rear facing) slot in the upper seat tube lug which extends just below the level of the lug into the top of the seat tube. The frame originally had a seat pillar fitted which slid in/out and tightened as it should do, and the seat pillar would add extra strength to the top of the seat tube anyway so this would not be a problem.....''
*
and having looked at it...it's a tiny tiny crack...which may still just be the paint....it won't effect the end price much at all..Aw thats a shame, really like this frame. Ah well i'll see how it goes, and thanks for the advice
