dooks that all sounds amazing! especially the lamb steak roll, i was drooling as i read about it.... and spicy veg with grilled meat....Mmmmm, yum.

awesome. i want a grill pan for by birthday.

had a few good little meals at the weekend. last minute rooftop barbeque on saturday night, I bought some lamb and pork steaks. the lamb got: fresh rosemary, garlic, a little gentleman's relish (anchovy paste), lemon juice and lots of salt and pepper. done on the barbeque till it was just pink in the middle then and stuck straight in a crusty roll. same with the pork steaks except substituted thyme for the rosemary and mustard for the anchovy.

also barbequed bunches of asparagus with a little olive oil, lemon juice and lots of salt and pepper.

the girlfriend made a huge batch of spicy rattatouille on sunday that was very nice on the day but even better a day later. it got reused last night with the last of the leftover pork, grilled as described above, a big pile of the spicy veggie rattatouille on the side, served with tsatsiki and wholmeal pittas. it was so good i never made it to the table to eat it. i ate the whole thing standing up in the kitchen.

reminds me of the channel 4 doc on competition eaters who all dunked there food in water first to help it "slide down". that was quite sickening...

i went to buen ayre on broadway market last night, it's my second time going. The steak is quite good but the staff are so f**king rude and then tried to stick a £17 service charge which i refused to pay - I wouldn't go back.
