Are you gonna try again to buy those copper bits? Were they actually the right size? I'm planning a trip to B and Q soon...
i went back to b&q but the copper reducers they had only went up to 28 mm (i think) so were too narrow. i went on a bit of a mission and found in a plumbing store ones that were 35 mm which would have worked but the guy working there was a dickhead and wanted 6 quid for one- so i told him to stick it up his arse and fuck off (sort of) - the Carson-Press mk II above works perfectly well ;)
