Ah guys thanks for your help. The frame has no markings whatsoever, it's a bit knackered-obviously been repainted badly a few times. I'm looking for some picts of the parts, but i know i don't have one of the bike in the state is was knicked in. The lock probably wasn't sufficient and annoyingly the plastic dust cover/cap on my newyork broke so you couldn't get the key in-in transit back to manufacturer, so obvs not in use, but i (did) always use a kyrtonite loop through the saddle in addition to other locks just incase someone tried to nick the saddle. But it could have gone anyway...anyhow, and i have to stop being annoyed with myself at some point. It is the thieves fault, not mine...a combination of bad judement, bad luck and bad people...urgh
