I thought it best to stop lurking on this Thread and post up some images of my current project.
I haven't managed to take any proper pics of the Roberts, but fuck that beer......this is my latest obsession.Fillet Brazed Taylor (U.S.) w/Columbus Teardrop tubing. Cearcoated at present (and will stay that way me thinks)

Still waiting on a Rim to build up the Rear Fixed Wheel. Brake is pinched off my De Ver run around. Pedals off my MTB, but I had to get the thing rideable to get a feel for the sizing. I was concerned about the TT length, but it’s feeling pretty comfy.
The Open 4cd x DA is off the Roberts. The Spinergy was an impulse buy from Bobob with this frame in mind. I’d attempted to sell it recently, but couldn’t do it…strange!
I'm thinking a Black Skeleton brake eventually. Got some RX-1 pedals and clips coming soon and I guess black Sug’s might be more suited down the line.
I finally got a 3.5mm Alan Key (bloody campag) yesterday so fitted one of the Black Deltas, just because….So, basically it’s a bit of a mix of make do’s, but shaping up nicely IMO

I've been away for a week, but I happened to notice these a few pages back ...
Finally got the last part of the group; the seatpost. It's taken years to get this lot together.
Now I just need to build up the wheels and get a respray. [pic of mavic road groupset here]Oh my days ... don't let dmczone see that ... I'm interested to see what this is all going onto!
Claud Butler 1951 New Allrounder. Almost ready to assemble. I'm waiting for the seatpost and sprocket. My first intention was to repaint the frame. Some guys from bikeforums.net persuaded me to safe and conserve the original painting. At first I stopped the rust. Then I experimented with some self made outlandish mixtures... Finally I used acrylic to restore the sanded areas and a self made pigmented wax to harmonize the different surfaces: rusty spots and areas, primer and top coat. It gaves the painting also a fine gleam.

Looking very nice, Ralph. Have you built it up yet and I've missed the picture?

@ b'jammin
Confused.
You say Taylor (U.S.)
Is this a different Taylor to Jack, then? I got all hot 'n bothered for a minute there, and was planning your assasination, if it were one of Jack's (Or Ken's to be precise)! -

I'm building up an old Holsworth from the 60's.
I've bought a Campag GS crankset and have a nice fluted seatpost and Brooks saddle.
I want to keep it all reasonably vintage (although not period correct) and I need a set of reasonably priced hubs which will match the build.
Are there any reasonably priced Campag ones of are they all hens teeth?

Cheap System EX hubs does look the part when I was building the Holdsworth, especially with the cutout (85% of the bike is build with modern part);
Congratulations. :-)
When's the due date?
