Sorry I had to dive off unexpectedly onto that Kings Cross-bound train... was nice to meet you all, see you in Oxford! Well, Brick Lane.

That fucking lasagne was a disgrace.
Good to hear that; I was just going to say how sad that I had to leave early as the picture of you eating looked like I might have missed out on a nice meal!
-
• #154
You did! the lasagne was someone else's... everything else was exquisite.
-
• #155
Glad to hear that. Indeed it was. See you in two weeks.

Lowlight:...... none
Highlight(s): Foot Long Steak and Cheese subway after the ride, Three Scope Ice-Cream (2x Clotted Vanilla Cream, 1x Toffee Fudge) and the smooth winding traffic - less country roads about halfway into the ride.
If The Oxford ride is half as good ill be chuffed

First ride with the forum, had a great time, thanks to all who organised and rode, and for momo for twisting my arm in the first place, extended my weekend largely. (joe - genesis flyer)
oh and ummar01, your bike was so tidy I'm glad you put yourself through the ride on it so I could check it out, please post a snap

another lovely day for the corny time trials series summer 2010
what a great route though nice olde englishe countryside, with villages like furneaux pelham, hatfield broad oak, aythorpe roding i think we managed to ride 30 miles out of london but 200 years back into history, norman churches manor houses and some very twisty old wooden framed houses
as has been the theme with rides this summer there was lovely weather and great companythe ride back to london was challenging the hills just kept getting steeper towards london eventually got home around 10 - ish ? i think
thanks for the company roman and allensea -

That fucking lasagne was a disgrace.
Seems I'm glad I didn't go to the pub. That m & s sarnie with brie and grapes on it actually hit the spot.

That ride was both nang and chung. Cheers all for a most enjoyable roll to Cambridge. The weather was ace and the company great. Getting lost around Furneux Pelham and Little Hormead was actually one of my highlights - damn perty round them parts. Couldn't live there mind...
Good riding, a nice sit down by the ponds with a cider, a bit o' food and a fun train ride back to London town = a day of win. See you bitches in a fortnight.

indeed, the little back lanes where we slacked off the pace were ace...
plus all those bikes in cambridge by the station: it's like a little dutch enclave. Civilised people.

great ride, a real pleasure to ride with you guys, have just about recovered (apart from still having a sore arse and a couple of wasp stings...) and hopefully will see you guys on the way to Oxford

That hen party weren't from Cambridge...

Really glad this went well. I'm well up for Oxford after reading this.

That hen party weren't from Cambridge...
I don't know where they were from, but they all looked like blond or brunette clones of each other - and I don't just mean the matching ts.

sounds a lot better than the M&S 'not much bacon and egg' sarnie! (followed by half a packet of salted cashews which left me with a bit of a stomach ache)
hahahaha! we were still talking about that today!!! lol. yes it was.
