  • big love to the handle bar, what is it, looks mint , nice ride you ve built

Thanks, the bars or bike? The bars are soma major taylors, I dont actually know what the frame is haha

  • Ok here we go again, how the hell am I going to get away with this at home... This time an Aero PIsta.

  • depending on its size, you could give it to me :D

  • It is quite small so I will probably use it as a polo beater

  • If you realize its value, i think it is better to give it for light sand blasting
(after extensive photos for the restoration)
you can always use paint remover and copper brush if you have the time and patience...

  • GT looks fucking epic.

  • I like it too, I'm not feeling the front hub however.

  • Hi Guy's I'd just like to share my latest project with you; the donor bike was the first bike I ever bought myself (a BSA "The Prima) in 1979. It was made by Raleigh, but may have been made in the Carlton Factory in Worksop before it closed down. The frame is a 3 tube 531 and had relatively new cotter less cranks and 12 gears! It served me well for around 6 years before I gave it to my brother in law. Having acquired it from his garage I have just got it back from powder coating. This was done by Wind ridge Coating (www.windridge.co.uk/content.php/410) who was a little more expensive than Armourtex but was able to fill in the dents in the frame before powder coating (something Armourtex said couldn’t be done). Anyhow, I got the frame back today and it is great, so I wanted to share it............ The colour is Beige Grey RAL7006 by the way.

And lovely tummy there Dron, is it yours (the tummy I mean)?

  • Too many Burger Kings?

  • my wife s tummy - no burgers tho.

  • ...just a weiner or two.

  • HA! repped

  • ^^ Chortle Chortle

  • Sorry to be such an immature twat Dron... congratulations, it must be a crazy and wonderful thing for you. All the best.

  • hehe... exactly

  • This year is all about Columbus SL, Shimano 600EX Arabesque and (to be) shiny stainless steel lugs. Unfortunately with the one spare hour I can find each week, this might take a while...

Can't wait to see the results, your last effort is a superb machine! Do Ceeways have SL tubing now?

  • Columbus have reissued sl for 2009, 2010 they´re doing a reissue of Max.

Will you built it fixed or geared?
    : )

  • Current-ish

    Nelson Pista:

    Terrible picture for a start!

This is several weeks old, Currently has shorter stem, Nitto RB-021 bars & TT front lever.
As of tomorrow a new wheelset and Miche Advanced crankset.

  • Will you built it fixed or geared?
    : )

i suspect it will have multiple speeds, but i wont be able to control their changing. ;)

  • My geared road project.. Am considering a campy aero seatpost, and also unsure about saddle/tape colour, opinions appreciated!

I reckon White tape + black saddle. It's coming up as orange on my screen, so thinking along the lines of the eddy merxn u see. Gumwalls would finish it....

...or just got all black and like whoever said it just let the frame speak fo itself... altho black tape on a summer project seems counter-intuative.

Looks Awesome - the pink was never my taste, and whilst it was an interesting paintjob, it never really suited the frame IMO.

  • ^ I disagree but it does look great, rich... I just fear change... ;]
