so, on the top tube of my white o7 flyer there are 4 yellow-is lines, one running on each quarter of the tube (one top left, one top right and so on). they run about 14cm long and there are darkish patches in between.
the frame is very well used all year round and is quite scratched up and chipped.
the discoloration on the top right of the tube is in the same place where my D-lock sits. I assumed it was the lock leaving the mark until I recently noticed the similar marks on the left and bottom of the tube, where my lock doesn't make contact.
is this rust? if so, are there any tips to containing it or do i maybe need the frame re-finnished?
is this dangerous? could the tube give way and kill my face.
also, Does that fact that each line of rust(?) runs independently and equidistantly from the others seem weird? to me it does but I’m not sure why.
any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm starting to feel a little uncomfortable about it.
