So this has taken a slightly unexpected turn... I took the frame into a shop for a service and to replace the parts.
I just got a call and was quoted £470 for parts and labour. That seems a lot of money to be putting into a bike I only every spent £250 for in the first place (albeit second hand). No?
Now, I have the cycle to work scheme, and for £470, I could buy a new bike of the value of almost £800.That seems more sensible no?
I know that I like the current frame, but £470 for a pair of aksiums, cassette, tires, seat post and saddle doesn't seem value for money.
