  • Hello! I'm a massage therapist trained in NYC who has worked at a number of top spas and hotels there, looking for a barter situation. I've already posted on Gumtree and Craig's List and got squat.

Ask Stix for a rec, I just worked on her. So if you are a stylist or know of a stylist you can rec to me, please PM me or comment on here with contact info.

    Thanks a mill.

  • Careful, last time I tried to pay for a haircut with a massage, I was in front of a magistrate 2 days later.

  • LOL, that's why I said "professional".

  • I always use a pro. Doctor flopodopolus's motion is smoooooth

  • jayloo - I've got a set of Wahl hairclippers with clipperheads nos. 1-8 and an instructional VHS showing you how to do a buzz cut.

I need some work on my back. If you can massage it and give it a number 1 all over that'd be great.

  • hahahahaha!

    Ahaha! I demand a fade!

Come to think of it, maybe I should get Vee Vee's stylist (wonder if she does her own?) to do mine.

  • You masseuses are a bit touchy.

  • I know a whole load of hairdressers, I'll see you Thursday and we'll make some calls if you like?

  • Thanks, Dov, that'll really help. I may have inroads with someone but it will depend on schedule and location.

btw, I may have need of that sewing machine, is it super tough and all that? I might try to get hold of some canvas and some seatbelt material (I remember someone buying a big roll at one point within the last month?) to try to make a belt thingy with a pouch and a U-lock loop, unless that already exists and I can parlay money for escaping the headaches of trying to do all that with minimal experience.

    MASSAGE THERAPISTS!!!!!

    hehehe...

  • masseuse, massage therapist, whatever. It always ends the same anyway, so....

  • Wait'll el guapo gets "a load" of this thread!

  • nah, I'm glad it worked out for you. I do like a happy ending.

You'll need a proper industrial sewing machine for going through canvas and webbing, that shit would snap the needles on mine in a second. It's good for reparing trousers or hemming a dress. U get me blud?

  • Dredge

Does anyone know where i can get a cheap haircut in my lunchbreak, everywhere near my office wants about £20, i'm tempted to get a bic out and shave my head for that price.

I'm in the city but could travel a bit 2-3 miles tops as unsurprisingly i have a bike

  • If you can get to covent garden there's one at the trafalgar sq end of St. Martin's lane. Ppl at my work swear by him. about £7.

  • Fuck me £7 for a haircut in London thats so cheap.

  • i've not been there myself but it's a proper barber's not a hairdresser.

Mine in Balham is only £9

Mr. Toppers - £10 for scissor cut and wash (I think £7 for a buzz cut). There's one on TCR near Goodge St.

    Which one in Balham?

Could be tempted by that, I've been told of one which is close to the office and supposed to be cheap, but thats by a guy in my office who is now bald, so prices may be slightly out of date.

Live in Clapham so a weekend trip to Balham could be on like donkey kong.

  • Never go to MR. Toppers - you may as well use a lawn mower.
