Very nice, now where can I get that kind of money!
-
• #25779
Easy, just find a sperm bank that pays and take a pic of that bike in with you. You'll make enough cash in no time, but remember to drink lots of fluids...

(floored) that is art.

It's like one those Ray Dobbin's over-the-top restorations. Lovely but unreal.

not a stupendous bargain - but I think this is a deal if it is in great condition... just a tad too big for me. I mean 1100 USd - that aint much. Atlanta rims - Super Record group. He was asking 1300 a few weeks ago - so must not have gotten any bites - so could be negotiated on...

might go for ok price, wierd lugs though (if they're called that)

^^^ wouldn't trust those old glued in frames much-TVT's similar to Vitus in having problems with the epoxy loosening over time and just popping out the alu lugs. Fine if you're not too heavy and just pottering around though.

Looks like an ALAN produced frame judging by the lugs.
Did ALAN produce for Colnago anyone ?
-

No, seller says in listing its a TVT bike, he's just trying to market it as a Colnago, which is bullshit because why would a superior Italian company who pioneered carbon frame manufacture with the aid of development agreements with Ferrari, ask a small french outfit to make frames for them? Doin the old 'slap a few Colnago stickers on and maybe no-one will ask' routine.

But Gregorio is right, this is a TVT frame and definitely not a Colnago (although some pro teams might have ridden a TVT frame badged as a Colnago as that was fairly common in the late 1980s/early 1990s when TVT were leading the way in carbon frames).

Photo 4 shows a definite lump/ridge in side-on view. Looks like its been creased in a minor crash, shame.

Why is it that Cinelli used to have beautiful stylised decals and now they're just wank?

I do not know my friend...though if you are to fall from grace...it's best to have a fucking long way to fall!
pure art/porn/attention to detail that makes all the difference...
whatever that difference may be.

You better have deep pockets mate!
Won't go for less than 4/500. Theres a Mercian fixed conversion (full bike) going for 300 BIN you might want to look at if you have more modest means, otherwise goodluck on that one as it is a beauty!
WOW!
