doh my mistake - I think they used dots instead for a while last year though as the originals were in short supply (mine had some marking which rubbed off immediately)...

As for 6'6" being to big for a Brompton I'll be sure to let one of the major share holders who is at least 6'6" and weighs in at around 19st that he must quit using his when I next see him.
Didn't know Dave Holladay was a shareholder?
Mind you, with his consumption of Bromptons he had better be! :)

Curvy girls rock.
Let's be honest, if you're worrying more about the men in your life ("mates") than the girl you've just been intimate with, then, well, you know where the logic on that topic is leading us, don't you...
Look, just be honest with yourself. It's the twenty first century for fucks sake. It's OK, nobody is going to make a fuss. You don't have to put women down, just because their not your favourite cup of tea. Lots of people drink coffee. Some drink both, if you'll pardon the beverage analogy.
I hope one day soon you can find true solace in your real self.
P.S. The Princes says you're owed a slap though. But I shouldn't worry too much, she does hit like a girl.

I'm 6'4/6'5
I kinda like the slight bounce but when the seat post is that far up it's pretty flexy...
You can also use a stainless steel hose clamp around the suspension block to reduce / fine-tune the flex.

I know, thanks but I'm not tattying up my raw laquer finish

Love riding this. Levers were replaced with matching Goldfingers after this was taken.

@worrywort slap
For what they are, Bromptons rock. Owned one when I was younger (15 or so) and smaller. :-)
When I got back into cycling, I thought about a Mezzo, before getting convinced by the chap in the shop that a Non-folder would be better.

heh I also ride a brompton (as seen at Wests) and it's really good for the city. Take it into meetings, and it's a great conversation starter. I don't want to worry about it going missing, it's fast enough (20mph+) and accelerates quite adequately ^ ^. I've got it setup comfort wise pretty much right.
So there. :)

How would any of you Brompton people feel about letting/renting a couple of Bromptons out for a week?
Mine doesn't get here until after my holiday, and I kinda thought about taking some with us. I can understand it if it's too much to ask. -

Velorution will let you hire a Brompton for a week- it will set you back £70 though.

Yes, and I'd have to talk to my old boss.
Meh.

This is a ridiculous suggestion I know - but if it's the difference between having a happy holiday or not - I reckon you could probably buy one of those ones on Ebay and resell it a week later for the same amount (or at least less than the £70 loss your old boss would pocket!)...

true enough, I think we'll do without it, mine will be here in a week and I'm a tad over excited.

Is your Brompton made to order or something Nhatt?

I was in Brixton Cycles today and saw the order form- hot pink, tassles coming from the ends of the handlebars, white faux leather saddlebags, Unicorn headbadge, stabilisers.
It's some custom.

It is Custom, but not THAT custom.
But not that far off.

This thread turned out pretty well after all. My Sunday best bike was inspired by an apple green/tan leather Brompton I always used to spot on the train into Marylebone... Great little bikes.

i have a brompton (2-speed S2L in black). it's not a patch on my "proper" bikes for speed and style, but it's unbeatable as an option for those times when a full size bike is impractical.
also bombproof. i treat mine as a lifetime investment. if it's never in fashion, it's never out of fashion.
The firm block is still marked FIRM.
