  • Not really discriminating is it? It's a lifestyle choice on the part of the smoker. Not like a disability or age.

    I would think that most employers would prefer non smokers as they take less breaks and have less time off sick (generally speaking)

    Religion is a lifestyle choice.

    Bit of a sore subject in my workplace though:
    Smokers take a 10 min smoke break every hour, then have lunch.
    I just get lunch.
    So I started going outside with the smokers and a pack of Polos, to have a mint break.
    I was told that I couldn't take a mint break every hour.
    I claimed Polo addiction.
    HR are thinking about it.
