  • When its hot, mackerel, and also on the rare occassion sardines & tuna come to our coast.

If you go somewhere like Barmouth, you can pay for a day out on a fishing boat. You need a fairly large group to make it worthwhile. I havent been on one myself but I hear they give you rods n stuff. I went there a couple months ago and tried beach fishing but it was still cold and there was nothing about.

Its still a pretty fucking far ride to the sea, probably 130miles minimum. The ride to barmouth goes through the valley next to snowdonia and looks really amazing though.

I still think its too far for me though, especially as I dont have a bike that fits me properly. You guys should go there unless we can find some good river fishing more nearby.
Remember Heart of the Country? I remember Tony Francis chatting to some geezer on there about how there was great fish to be had from rivers in the Midlands. Or perhaps Herefordshire. This was probably 1998 or something. But anyway. There MUST be somewhere nearby! Only problem is doing it without having to have your own gear.

I will find out sooner or later... otherwise I'm just gonna go ride with a tin of tuna.
