  • save your money and get a Hilti and never worry about it again :)
    A hammer function on a cordless drill will knacker it quicker. Handy to have, but use it sparingly and get a corded sds or similiar for masonry stuff....

    Agreed but it sounds like the OP is unlikley to use it like trade so it'll have an easyish life.

  • Cheers for the advice. In the end I decided it's not worth getting the green bosch one, so for the moment I'm going to stick to my mum's 20 year old bosch drill, and use manual screwdrivers. Then when I have the money I'll get a professional one.

  • I get emails from screwfix so if I notice an extra special offer I'll post it.

    anyway, makita = good

    Bosch = OK, especially for occasional use
