hi
had a few good replies to my other post of the same name, many thanks.
i have another question, can i just replace my inner campy ring with a smaller one providing the bcd is the same?. my existing rings are 50/39t. ie

39T is the smallest inner ring you can put on a Campy spider, unless it is a compact or triple chainset.
