I see what you mean, but when I decided to build my own bike about half a year ago I still had a lot to learn and halfway into the build I started realising it might be nicer to build it up a bit more period correct etc, but I just didn't want to go through all the trouble of selling, finding, buying and waiting for the right/nice parts again. Just wanted to ride it, so I stuck to my innitial plan.
It's not thát bad as a first build, is it?
I might build it up more period correct once or sell it and build something new, if that comforts you. ;)

I wasn't commenting on your build, I think it's pretty decent and practical anyway. The other current projects this week have been total standouts! What I was wandering was has someone cut the deraileur hanger off the bike - tt bike no more :(
