I have a late 70’s early 80’s BSA “The Prima” (Raleigh) bike and wonder if anyone can tell me what size the top and bottom headset (loose) bearings are likely to be. It’s a 1” threaded headset and was only a cheapish bike even when new, so shouldn’t be anything exotic.
I stupidly thought that replacing something as simple as the bearings would not be a problem, so I didn’t bother to pick them up when they all fell out and now I can’t find any of them!
This is my first bike rebuild and I should have known better than to assume anything, bearing in mind all the other weird sizes on old bikes, not to mention Raleigh’s own take on things.
Any help would be much appreciate.
