Where are you/the bike for viewing?
-
• #6
Me and the bike are vaguely near Guildford, can meet at Guildford station - 35 mins from Waterloo. Viewing is more than welcome.

Having said this, I'll be around town next Thursday if you fancy a ride.

That's my old bike...had enough of it already? More or less the same price you bought it off me. Good luck with the sale.

It is indeed. Absolutely love it but just need the money and the space for a new project sadly. And yeah, it was a good price to start with so I thought I'd stick with it.

Price drop - 410. With 50 quids worth of Gators on it, I think this is pretty reasonable.

dibs, but want to know for sure, that there are no bad marks on the bike to be aware of, and part of the deal is for the gators!!!, been looking for a colnago for a while, and have to agree this is a bargain, and so cool to have the full chorus groupset, id have to wait till the weekend until i bought it though, as im in nottingham and at work all week, so either a saturday or sunday

There are a couple of paint chips; this is reflected in the price. It's not concours but I'd say it's good condition. The frame is structurally perfect, no dents or dings. I'll include the gators which are about 6 weeks old and tough as hell. This is an 80's bike with almost entirely original parts, so it could do with a clean up here and there which I just don't have time to do, but otherwise it's bargainous, as Henry so beautifully put it. Weekend is fine, PM me if you want more.

Id expect a couple of chips here and there anyways, ive got a bianchi minimax frame from mid 90's and didnt have perfect paint, and in learning how to fasten a chain on the bike ended up putting a couple more marks on it, oops!!, but i love it all the same, i think let the bike wear its age with pride, bikes are for riding not keeping in a museum, really more interested in originality of the bike, which sounds like its exactly what im looking for, and will make a nice addition to the stable, (along with my dawes galaxy), i aim to keep the bike original as well, im not going to be taking it apart to make a fixie out of it, as cool as those are, respect is due to this old steed. (please dont fire me!!!! i do own a fixie!!!)

Thank fsk for that. I really didn't want to have to put it on fleabay and let some little urchin tear it apart and flog the chorus kit. Glad it's going to someone with taste! Period wise, Cinelli bar and stem would be more correct and not hard to source. Otherwise it's proper nice. I work both days this weekend, finish 6pm Saturday, 5pm Sunday - so either evening good for you?

ill get back to you some point tomorrow, i need to plan what im going to do, whether im staying over in london or can get back to nottingham on same day

That's ll cool Jaruba, let me know.
-
• #25
Still up for sale after Jaruba mucked me about. Thanks for not showing up sir.
410 and still bargainous and still beautiful to ride. I'd hold onto it if I possibly could but I really can't.
Genuinely sad this has to go, I've had thousands of miles of neon fun with it, but room needs to be made.
So.
Colnago Super 55cm CTC
Columbus SL
Full Campag Chorus
3TTT Stem and Bars
Ambrosio Rims on Campag hubs
Conti Ultrasport Tyres
Just serviced, regreased, new cables everywhere. Ready to ride.
Would look great with the braze-ons gone, mech hanger removed and an arrospok on the front. Or alternatively, not. Ever.
