  • Wilmslow road, just after the turning for platt lane heading south. Fixed bike, blue, chrome drops - green t shirt? Looks pretty bad - bikes fucked. I shouted over as there were afew people there and one fella is a trainee doctor and said he didnt need owt so I left it to them. Ambulance called.

    Everyone ok?

  • only blue fixed that i can think of is scott - post to tell us ur ok man

  • Was thinking the same, would he be about that area tho?

  • it was scott

reckons hes ok but hurt his back, doesnt know how bad yet.

  • Im alive!

  • How fucked Rory? i didn't see it :-(. The police just said I definatly wouldn't be riding it again. By the sounds of it its totaled, mabye a rear wheel and a seatpost left to salvage. apparently i smashed the car window and put a pretty big dint in the door. Hopeful I can get a replacement with insurance and such. The chap that was driving was very apologetic and said hes getting me a new nice bike...... hopefully. ( I was thinking about a new BJ)

The car was coming on the opposite side of the road towards me then took a quick right turn into my lane. next think I know theres a fecking car right infront of me, first thing that went through my head: "FUCK! Im not wearing a helmet" SLAM. didn't have time to brake. However I'm sure it will get sorted, he seemed okay, admitted to the police it was completly his fault and admitted to drinking, I think he must have been just under the limit as I think he sqwaid if he'd drank anymore he'd be in big trouble. A pretty stupid think to say infront of a person you could have killed with bad driving.

Anyhow to the less important business: I got away with many cuts and bruises, a jaw that feels like i've just taken a huge punch, a few stitches underneath my chin and a ruptured ligiment in my shoulder. I spent fecking hours on a spinal table thing MRI was so busy. they're very uncomfortable after just 10 mins, feels like your heads being pushed up against a wall for ages and your heads in a vice.

Edit: if you're competing in next weeks alleycat your lucky, I'm out.

It takes a while but they are good at getting compensation and they speak bike.

  • shit mate - proper freaked me out when I saw you. Your bike is officially dead - front wheel pushed back past the seat tube job. Sounds like you've got everything for a good claim and a shiny new one though. I've torn my shoulder ligament before... try to keep it mobile and it wont seize as bad then.

    Heal up mate.

  • Heal up dude! Sucks that you lost your bike but lucky that you're not seriously hurt. Start planning your new build now! lucky you had just bought that rare piece of track history for the low price of £500 isn't it.

  • glad you ok x x x x

  • shit dude sorry to hear bout that - good to hear ur alright - get a fucking expensive bike off him as well

  • YEah buy yourself a sick new bike... wanna buy my Langster?

  • wow fucking hell scott, glad your ok, what did you smash the window with then, your head?

  • shit mate. glad you're ok. heal up soon. x

  • Glad you're alright mate!

    Sucks.

  • Heal fast young fella. You have a lot of support out there in Manchester.

Follow that earlier good advice about keeping injuries mobile, make the most of your lovely NHS for therapies, you don't want to turn into a creaky old man!

  • get well soon

  • Glad to hear your okay Scott!

  • Thank you guise and gals! :-). Its weird but I can't wait to see my bike.
I need to phone Ash the medical student who luckily was near by and Tom the driver who I think has my bike. not sure what to say though.

  • "can i have my bike please"

scott have a look at this - its a bit late for some of this stuff but other bits might be helpful

  • yeh that medical student was really in control... good bloke.

  • The chap that was driving was very apologetic and said hes getting me a new nice bike...... hopefully. ( I was thinking about a new BJ)

What a nice guy! A blow job and a new bike :)

    Glad you're ok mate

  • What a nice guy! A blow job and a new bike :)

    Glad you're ok mate

    I was waiting for that.

Drivers mother is under the impression its my fault as apparently I was riding on the pavement. [SARCASM] Yepp... jumping curbs at 15mph on a lugged track bike on a busy wilmsrow road footpath, sounds very likely [SARCASM]. I hope my knog is still on whats left of my handlebars so I have evidence I had lights on. I'll just wait for the police report.

  • I presume you need a bike shop to value the bike for you? I'm sure Rich can help you out
