The reason I reckon the thief might have been having an overdose is because he was shaking and had pissed himself. And the reason I suspected that he was on drugs in the first place is because he was stealing a fucking bike. How many (bike) thieves aren't junkies? A small percentage.

Sure I might be putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5 but so what? He's a bike thief. Fuck him.

Would I have left him to die and just took my bike?
Maybe. I don't know. Or I might have kicked him in the face and finished the job. Or I might have called an ambulance. How the hell would you know how you would react in such an odd and unlikely scenario.

or he was just a kid who wanted a bike and is now seriously hurt.
