I'm interested, but currently I'm looking for bars to put them on! Gonna keep an eye on the thread

Let me know if you find some - I'll update the thread if I run out of leather.
I've got them on B123's... recommended...but probably unnecessary :)

Very pro job, zatchmo... Looks fantastic... You should offer to do this for people as a service, I think you'd do pretty well judging by that... ^

Heya, I have some 45 cm risers, so will take enough for those please! Great work mate.

beautiful, well done!
...any chance of very dark brown to match the saddle on my fav bike?
At the moment the colour shown's all I got but judging from the responses I might need to get myself some other colours too...I wanted to see if there's much interest for them before forking out a mint on leather.
Or you could start a group thread looking for honey brown leather saddles

Any chance for day-glow pink?
(looks really smart btw :)
-

afraid I don't know any leather suppliers near Sizewell B so you might have to wait a while for the day-glows.
Got enough leather left for roughly 2 sets of drops (assuming those who are keen so far stay that way)
shit it's hot

Hi Zatchmo
Do you have any brown leather left to do a full drop?
Thanks
Nico

This has inspired me to try to make some myself...
I have a leather place in mind ... want me to look for anything for you whilst I'm there?
-
• #18
uncleskulls, help me out please. i need a piece of black leather to cover a saddle, maybe 500cms sq.
-
• #19
OK will check... you talking about to recover a plastic framed saddle? You'll want thin stuff ...
-
• #20
Also, assume you mean 50cm sq, not 500!
-
• #21
yep, well spotted! and yeah thin stuff... how much you think it will cost?
-
• #22
Thanks for the offer Skully but I don't think I can stitch it on myself, can barely sew a button

i know what you mean... 50cms x 50cms -

Skully - thanks for offer for more leather. Did you get yourself sorted out? Let's see em if so.
Nico - Some brown left (a set made up for drops), PM'd
Rocksteady/Tiswas/Skully - some other math to keep you bermused: Three men spend £9 each at the local store, but only have tenners so pay £30. Store keep feels bad after, sends his kid out to give the guys back the £5 split even. That's tough math for a kid (maybe us to?) so he gives them £1 each and pockets £2 himself. So the kid has £2 + the guys spent £27 = £29 total...what happened the that other £1 from original £30?

Zatchmo, If you need to get hold of leather in any colour. I know someone that could probably sell you some off cuts at reasonable prices, pm me if you're interested.
New Brown Leather in - so here's for all you with Spring/Summer build on the go (or just fancying a leathery upgrade):
£20 for a full drop/bullhorn/moustache etc. bar covers, (a little bit more if you run brake levers - drop me a PM)
£15 full riser/straight bar covers etc.
£10 for a short grips (on a riser or something?)
Thick stitching (as per last picture) or thin stitching (as per the rest) available
dibs followed by pm's please (specify bar type). I can make them during the week - i'll either need your bars off you for a night (+ stem if not front loading) or give me the diameter of the bar (not the clamp) and I'll make & post at cost (£2.30 recorded last time I checked or £1.40 budget). You'll either need to have a needle for the latter though and some patience...or I can pre-thread them for you and you just tighten.
Cheers folks
Z
