    Are there any polo players under the age of 25 that would like to apply for one of these grants. I'm sure the polo community could help out with advice and filling in application forms. Polo school, with new bikes? Youth tournament? Polo sessions in Trafalgar square?

    It requires a bit (a lot) of time and effort, but then they give you money. Just give it to you!

    **vcashpoint Launches New Funding Round (England)
    **v, the independent charity set up to encourage young people to volunteer, has launched the next application round of the vcashpoint scheme. vcashpoint is giving away £2,500 to 16-25 year olds in England with ideas for a London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games inspired volunteering project to improve their community. Eligible individuals can apply for a grant of up to £2,500 to bring their idea to life. To apply for a vcashpoint grant, you must be aged 16-25, live in England, and be up for running the project yourself. You’ll need to show how your project will help other people (not relatives), the environment or your community and how it has been inspired by London 2012.
    Previous vcashpoint supported projects have included:
    • The setting up of a Rugby Club to offer people the chance to play rugby who had never previously done so.
    • A project to encourage young Muslim boys to learn how to cook healthy meals.
    • A project to introduce photography to a group of young refugee boys, and using this as a way to break down language barriers.
    The closing date for applications is 12 noon on the 6th September 2010.

    **Live UnLtd (UK)
    **UnLtd, the charity for social entrepreneurs, is inviting young people between the age of 11 and 25, who have a passion and talent to change the world around them, to apply through Live UnLtd for a grant of up to £2,000 to start up their own business, sports teams, recrea-tional groups and host events. Live UnLtd will also offer support to help with the running of the project.
    Projects supported in the past include:
    • 'Food Cycle' - a venture which combines young volunteers surplus food and free kitchen space to create a nutritious meals for people affected by food poverty
    • A Street-culture magazine for the Youth of London, with the content for the magazine being entirely produced by young people who are also given the mentorship of pro-fessionals in creative media.
