Phil Wood Grease

You want to buy some boat trailer wheel bearing grease. Last time I looked, a kilo cost about the same as 100g of bike-specific stuff, but it's designed to drive at 70 down the motorway then in and out of sandy salt water...

it's not that great, cos it's very viscous, but it does work well and doesn't shift from where it lives in the bearings.
