This is probably too soon to organise for Round 3 but there were discussions last night on bank holiday Sunday (29th):
Track day - early morning start, ride to South Shields and try and shatter the world hour record on the velodrome.
Polo - ride back, change bikes and get down to some polo playing, boozing, eating action. Not actually much organisation needed

Yeah matt you pretty much organised it right there. Let's do that anyway I say.
Ali: yeah I think I'll try and get the revival. No doubt people will winge there are too many tricks in it tho

Saw kraftwerk play tour de France live and they had all this footage of classic tdf climbs with merckx et al. Now that's what I'm talking about. Beer, amphetamines, rollers, vomiting and real time footage of pantani climbing ventoux

What about a bit of roll-a-palooza action at round 3? That would be fun.

I've been given a bunch of aluminium rollers, 'cos I was thinking of building some rollers myself. They are about 2 foot in length and about 2 inches diameter, with bearings and spindles either end. Brand new. See picture attached. Prob enough to build four or five sets, depending upon design. Would be happy to share rollers/collaborate in roller building projects.

the main faff with rollers is getting the drive chain from the rear to the front roller so thats spinning as well, unless you just want to make a QR stand to plonk the forks on.

......make a QR stand to plonk the forks on.
Keep it simple ftw

Keep it simple ftw
the main advantage of rollers as a training aid is for balance/riding in a straight line i've been told (and for warming up at the track of course!) otherwise its pretty much a turbo trainer with no resistance setting. still good for training though i imagine!
