Shame it's been repainted though - most of the character has been lost in my eyes.

how can you say that, you don't know what it looked like before it was renovated/restored.

Someone was trying to sell that 3rensho on here. It had been rather unsympathetically built up and got a lot of abuse.
'Like a greyhound having a shit' was my favourite comment.

Bought the bike below off ebay yesterday evening. It's a 1987 Marlboro Montreal. Seems in good condition and (to me) a pretty bike to look at.... but no-one else was interested!! Nobody else bidded and I got the bike for £65 postage included. Am I missing something? Seems pretty cheap! Any thoughts welcome! :-)

I'd rather have a bit of original rust than new paint
Imagine the stories that rust could have told...and now it's dead.

I personally wouldn't paid anymore than that, but it cheap/cheerful enough.

Bikes like that are just average everday bikes from the 70's, usually worth about £70.
But they are usually not that good looking and weatherbeaten/abused.
Your one is really sexy, love the brown saddle/tape. the geometry looks fairly sporting. And it is in stunning condition.
Looks like a lovely bike, you have done well. Leave it as is please, mudguards look great too.

Great to have some feedback, thanks! I'm really pleased with it.
It is being delivered to me next week at work...so the first time I ride it will be my usual 13 mile run home! Can't wait!! :-D -
