Spotted again today outside Kantorwich building, nice. Interesting geometry though? Alongside a silverish (paint or chrome was stripped off I guess) frame, risers + blue ourys.
Dude on a purple ss, Orange hi-vis too. Maybe a vitus? Not sure, saw him twice today, overtook you going down Stretford Rd this afternoon very nice looking bike.
The graham weighs mine glad you like it, Intresting geometry? elaborate names ed, i am selling those velocity's going to be building my first set of wheels soon. if anybody wants to buy them get in touch.

You got a truing stand Fixed Squid? Wheelbuilding is fun, but even with the help of Sheldon it took me about 4 attmepts to get the lacing pattern right!

No i don't, but i am buildind with teh help of i guy i have bought some cranks off in stockport, and he has building wheels for a while got his on little workshop and stuff says he is going to show me what to do and shit. Should be fun. getting a 36h 3x radial crows foot on the rear which is supposed to be super strong according to arup ( London wheelbuilder). And either the same on the front or i am guna do a 3 leading 3 trailing for a bit of prettyness.

That's exactly how it's set up. I'm thinking risers or horns will be the first mod.
... No polo mallet, sorry to disappoint.
Risers
Aww, come on, Polo, ride a bike AND hit things, what's not to like?! Some people even try to smoke and drink as they play. Think of all the fun evenings spent re-truing wheels! Oh, oops, hang on...

you buy a FGSS bike specifically made to look old school, and put risers on it? why didnt you just get a fuji track if you wanted a ugly looking bike?

says the guy who bought a create
We're meant to be nice to people here Scott, coax them off the web into the real world, and then they can find otu we are bastards -

Im sorry for my harsh words! I just dont like modern shit fixed gear stuff, all sloppy machine welded steel scaffolding and powdercoated and anodized every fecking were.
But a create is supposed to be a ghetto hipster bike, and thats what I'm using it for. The steel langster is supposed to look like a classic track NOT FOR RISERS.

I had a fuji track and it was a good bike, I don't remember it looking ugly.
If the OP wants to put tassles on the end of his risers and maybe even wear a dress its all good. You can do what you want with your own bike - surely that's the point??
As long as you like it and ride it who's to tell anyone what's good or bad.

Makes me wish I hadn't sold my frame now - it looks better than my cutter in black

lets be honest though ste, your fuji looks better in stealth mode with black bullhorns. when you overtake people they think it's the shadow of a jet plane passing overhead. maybe i'm getting carried away
-
• #871
yuck.

• #872
Just realised it is the steel langster not the standard Alu one. anyway, who cares, let him do what he wants with his bike! As long as it isn't purple with a brown saddle and red grips.... ;)

• #873
Fuck it. Just to spite Rincewind I'm putting bmx bars on it.

let him do what he wants with it as long as its not bright green with fake black velocitys and a bmx stem with the wrong size clamp and bent forks and a unipack...
cool chap on a langster with I think a yellow cycling cap just now, was going some good speed all the way from stretford on manchester road towards altrincham. managed to keep up with him on my shitty polo bike with a bit of drafting. before I pulled off for my road I told him he should try using fixed hes spinning so much.
Edit: oh shit, I used langster and cool in the same sentence....
