sometimes you just need to get away,
I had no intention of ever coming to the uk, I went to live in nyc things fell through ended up here and have stayed took me 4 years to even want to go back for a visit. I don't think people appreciate how isolated the sth hemisphere is. Homeland.. I know british born people who do the same for the country their parents are from.
