SHOGUN COMP ROAD FRAME 61cm c1995
Seat Tube: 58cm (centre to top of seat tube) 54.5cm (ctc)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm
    Rear dropout width: 130mm
    Wheel size: 700C
    Frame tubing: 7005 Aluminium alloy
    Bottom Bracket Threads: English
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is an extremely nice mid 1990s aluminium frame which has hardly been used. It is very light and is in very good condition with just a few marks to the paint. A bargain at £75

    CBT ITALIA ROAD FRAME c1994
    Seat Tube (ctc): 49cm
    Top Tube (ctc): 51cm
    Rear dropout width: 130mm
    Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 45mm
This is a rather unusual CBT Italia frame which uses a very distinctive fluted tubing. It is in excellent condition with almost unmarked paintwork and the long horizontal dropouts mean that it will make an easy conversion to singlespeed or fixed. £145

DE VOS ROAD FRAME New and Unused 1970s/80s
    Seat Tube (ctc): 21in (53cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 21.5in (55cm)
    Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C with a brake drop of 54mm
    Seatpost size 27.0mm
De Vos was a small Belgian bike shop (at Handzame) which closed in 2008 that commisioned frames from a local builder. This is brand new and never been painted new old stock road frame built in Belgium almost certainly from Reynolds 531 tubing and with clearances for guards - taking the deeper drop Shimano dual pivot brakes. I can get it powder coated at cost price here in Bristol and can prep the frame or fit a headset or BB at a reasonable cost. Its ideal for singlespeed or fixed wheel use. £65

    RAULER 61cm c1980
    Seat Tube (ctc) : 61cm (24in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 59cm (21.75in)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C (brake drop of approx 46mm)
    Bottom bracket threads: Italian
    Seatpost size: 27.0mm
This c1980 Rauler frame is of really gorgeous quality - the lugs are beautifully cut out and the brazing is very clean. The frame is in excellent condition. Greg Softley (Ebay gts753) does reproduction transfers.

Rauler was founded in the 1970s by Raul and Reclus Gozzi Brothers. One or both brothers worked for Colnago before starting up the Rauler marquee. It is not know just what the relationship with Ernesto was, but what is known that the name Rauler is from Raul and the first two letters of Ernesto, hence Rauler. Rauler became one of the top contract builders for Colnago and did much of the pantographing for them as well. It has been repainted not especially well but would be quite useable. There are no dents or dings I can see. And with horizontal dropouts could easily be converted to singlespeed or fixed. £165

    DON FARRELL ROAD FRAME 1962/3
    Seat Tube (ctt): 22.5in (57cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 21.75in (55.5cm)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s, Sprints or 700C with a brake drop of 57mm
    Seatpost size 27.2mm
Don Farrell was a very well liked bike shop in north London for many years and their frames were built by a number of builders - this one was built by Wally Green. It has recently been repainted with new I think repro decals. The rear dropouts are Campagnolo long making it ideal for singlespeed or fixed wheel use. £95

TEAM BRITE MICRO LO-PRO TT FRAME Reynolds 853 c1998 built by Paul Donohue
    Ex Chris Newton
    Seat Tube (ctt): 44.5cm (17.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 130mm
    Wheel size: 700C
    Frame tubing: Reynolds 853
This frame is an ex Team Brite micro lo-pro frame that was ridden by Chris Newton around 1998 and is beautifully built from Reynolds 853 tubing. Paul Donohue’s works built all the Team Brite frames and they employed a tig welder who was truly superb - in my opinion he was just as good as the tig welders at Merlin who I had seen working back in 1994. Its a really gorgeous frame which would equate to about a conventional 21.5 in road frame and is designed for use with a long aero seatpost and aero bars of course. It comes complete as shown in the photos with its original bladed carbon fibre forks. £195

    LEGNANO ROAD FRAME late 1970s
    Seat Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
    Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 45mm)
    Seatpost size: 26.6mm
This is a very sound Legnano road frame which has been nicely repainted and dates from the late 1970s. With horizontal dropouts it would make a very easy fixed or singlespeed conversion. £95

FAUSTO COPPI Early 1990s New and unused
    Seat Tube (ctc): 59cm
    Top Tube (ctc): 58cm
    Rear dropout width: 130mm
    Wheel size: 700C
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
    Frame tubing: Columbus Thron
This frame is new and unused but has quite a number of marks to the paintwork. And it has no forks. These Coppi frames are really rather nicely built and offer an excellent ride. It now comes complete with pair of Coppi red threadless forks which are not shown in the picture. £95

    COLNAGO ROAD FRAME 1973
    Seat Tube (ctc) : 53cm (21in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 54.5cm (21.4in)
    Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C front and rear (brake drop of approx 50mm)
    Bottom bracket threads: Italian
    Frame Tubing: Columbus SL
Colnagos from the early 1970s are really rather uncommon - this one dates I think from 1973. Its been repainted I think about twenty years ago and little used since then. At the same time it was converted to take allen bolt fixing brakes. Its in very nice condition with just a few marks to the paint and decals. Would make a very cool conversion to fixed or singlespeed. £295

    ALLIN ROAD FRAME c1963
    Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 57.5cm (22.75in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
    Wheel size:27in or 700C (brake drop 60mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Allin Cycles were based in Whitehorse road, Croydon for many years, This is a Stan Butler model from around 1963. It is very nicely built but does need repainting. Has horizontal dropouts so will make an easy conversion. £59

benja if this was directed at me I'm afraid its not for sale (and is a 56 too). I just commented 'cause I like mine so much and you don't often see them. I'm stripping and rebuilding it at the moment. But id highly recommend them, it made a great conversion and it is even nicer now i've build it up with the right campy groupset.

I'm sure hilary will ship it to italy, he sends alot of stuff worldwide, make sure you've sent him a PM if you want it. He sometimes takes a few days to reply as he obviously has quite a few to deal with.

  • Just trying to validate my account with three posts. Is Hilary Stone normally hard to get hold of? That's the feeling I'm getting...
