Bingo.
I was hoping to turn the Crosscheck into something like this, except with a drop bar and Versa VRS8 STi levers that design to work with internal gear hubs;

My post should have read "increases the ETT needed" BTW

But yeah, hub geared cross bike = ultimate utility bike.

(Although some cross frames (mine) have 'fast' handling, which can piss you off if you ride for long distances with a decent load.)
