Would I be right in thinking these (or something similar) have minimal padding:

The reason being that a full padded short is overkill on my 10 mile commute and I generally find the padding gets in the way and is HOT... I'm quite comfy in normal everyday baggy shorts but it's the underwear that kills it. Seams in the wrong spots! I have found cotton/lycra boxer trunks work well but still not perfect.
