cheers, how long have you been using them for?

No, search again and read each topic until you get to the one that sound like the one you'd check out.

+1 Mr Scoble
alternatively, google gets to to a few comparisons on this forum and others if u use a slightly more refined search term than 'hubs' - ill leave it to your imagination -

tom: avoid miche - stupid italian threads+super crappy lockrings. formula/planet-x ftw.
-

i put hubs into the magic search function
found this near the top of the list
https://www.lfgss.com/thread9696.html
first post seemed fairly comprehensive
imagine what would have happened if i'd put something a bit more specific into the search?

for gods sake DJ cant you see that tom g doesnt have the time to look through painstakingly and time consumingly compiled lists done by forum members in anticipation of his oh so common question? Just give him the answer, he cant be bothered to look for it

i did look at the very handy list, which lists as the best value the miche and suzue, hence why im asking about them; what i was looking for was something a bit more in depth from people that have been using them for a while and so could give me more information that "best value", so I can compare between them.

went for a gran compe my self because it is sealed bearing better for wet riding
nice solid black hub -

Besides the fact that the OP was asking for more detail on these particularly popular price level of hub, the compendiums of facts do get out of date with time - eg Suzue ProMax are barely available now and if they are they are expensive, Goldtech have (according to some sources) gone a bit shit compared to their former glory... neither point is in the list. If someone can't find the info why wouldn't they ask?
and in answer...
I have two sets of Miche, one of which has done about 15miles a day for 2 1/2 yrs and is still going strong. The crap they get on here is in my experience unjustified, they have served me really well. Jos at TDV agreed with my consensus that they are better than formulas/etc too...

I have a set of sweet Suzue ProMax SB in 36h flavour if you decide on those... Lightly used, butter smooth, cheap cheap... Lemme know but only if you're in London, not gonna post...

And can we stop being search Nazis - shit changes in between now and a thread started in 2007! Any time anyone asks anything technical theses days it results in a UTFS - fine if its a stupid question, but when its someone asking for opinions, then perhaps we can offer some rather than behaving like cunts?
Just an idea

perhaps the question could be asked on a relevant thread rather than starting a new one? then when someone searches its all in the same place.

I have 2 bikes running Gran Comps and have had no probs - i would put the Miche at the bottom of the list.

• #21
ban anyone for a week who uses the term " use the search function " instead of being helpful
wankers the lot of 'em
-
• #22
TBF I've only ever heard harry.major and maybe one other slander the Miche hubs, and both of them are wrong in the face.
-
• #23
Miche hubs are fine... Harry is a snob... I would put the Suzues at the top of that list... ;]

suzue pro max
i love those holograms on the flanges super sexy
Going to get a new hub, around the £40ish price range, was wondering if anyone has any experience with the suzue miche or gran compe's? Much different from formula etc? Cheers
