All these places have direct and pretty cheap trains back to Liverpool Street, so people can either stop when they want, or go all the way to Hertford. If people want we can cycle back from Hertford, but based on last time, that probably won't happen.
As it's all towpath, a lot of it is fine gravel or paving, but some of it is tarmac as well. I've ridden there many times on my fixed with 23mm tyres, it's fine, but bring whatever bike you think is most suitable.
Between the possibilty for stopping at the various nice pubs along the river, and the fact that we will have to be considerate to other towpath users this is not going to be a fast average speed, so bring your sunscreen, some beers, and enjoy the day.
The usual rules apply, make sure to bring equipment to fix punctures, nothing too unusual unless you are capable of fixing it, etc.
On the last ride we stopped at 3 pubs on the route, in Enfield, Broxbourne and Ware. In Broxbourne we had a very nice pub lunch, and will probably do a similar thing again.

Chainbreaker: "More blood than punctures"
BlueQuinn: "The most fun forum ride ever"
This will be a slow paced social ride along the River Lee, starting at Victoria Park, and going up the canal as far as people want to go.
Starting place will be East's pub in Victoria Park.
