I seriously doubt I'd be able to afford the handmade frames nowadays in the way we used to take them for granted.
I recall my first real bike - a Falcon Black Diamond costing £30 in circa 1966 - in burnt orange and black bought Rohan's Cycles in Pinner (Rayner's Lane really)
My first made to measure 531 frame was I think £25, a Pat Rohan stickered Edwards built road frame and I still miss it- lots of wins and memories, and the only one I ever bent in a road race.
