Well according to the nice people who tend the gardens when I asked towards the end of last year... I've never seen them mind, and I've lived round the corner for years, but they should know! I'm a bigger fan of the Pelicans...but that could be a whole new thread !

A friend of mine told me that when she was about five, she was playing with her guinea pig in the back garden of her house in somewhere like Huddersfield. Her dad was reading the paper in a deckchair with a knotted hanky on his head. Suddenly an adult eagle owl dropped down out of the sky - escaped from a local safari park, they later heard - and grabbed the guinea pig. She could still hear its terrified squeaks as it was carried off into the sky and out of sight. Her dad lowered his paper a little and said "Bloody hell. You don't see that every day, do you?"

I bloody love them so much. I want an owl tattoo.
Wacky bokeh in that photo.
Does anyone know why it is like it is?
