You must have a light one :-)
I weighed my medium on a kitchen scale and the frame was 2.2, the fork was 1.4, making it a 3.6kg frameset.
The weight weenie inside me is beating me up every time I ride mine, I have not had a framset this heavy since riding low end BMXs 30+ years ago!I live with it because it rides and handles exactly how I like.
I stand corrected, I never weighed mine judt had a vague memory of someone mentioning 3.3kg.

I want to try a 54, medium can anybody help me out ? " London based "
I am thinking of buying a charge scissor frame, I am about 6 foot tall, and I ride a 58 Dolan track frame.
I want to bash the scissor up and down curbs, down steps, generally take allot less care of it than my other bikes. So guessing that a small frame would suit that style of riding . -

top tube lenght with awareness of what kind of cockpit you want to run is your main concern. A 56 TT will feel small for regular riding with a normal bars and a stem thats 80-100mm stem. That said, it might feel ok for what your talking about, with a BMX stem and risers.
I'm guessing a 54 TT will feel kinda shitty, to be honest.
thats my worthless post of the night.
ride it an see.

I have a medium scissor, Pique has a small.
I'll be at West polo (Hurlingham Park) on Thursday and I'm sure he'll be round polo (East or South) sometime in the near future and wouldn't mind you riding a few laps around the court.

i'm 5'10 and i ride a medium scissor. it feels just right for me with a 50mm stem and charge spit risers, so i guess a medium + bigger stem and setback seatpost will be good for you

I've been using my Scissor off road for the past couple of weeks and it's ace... I normally use it just to rag around, not so much a 'trick' bike but just something to ride hard.

Hi guys,
Quite a simple question really,
I had my bike stolen last night :-( , and am looking to make up a new one. I had a Charge Frame and for me, it was perfect. Was looking to buy a Charge Scissor but wanted to ask if its any good as a road frame. A lot of my riding is 20 miles+ a day to get fresh air, see the countryside a bit and just relax really.
I dont trick on my bike, but I aint the most gentle on my stuff.
Just after a few suggestions really?
Sorry if it a general question, maybe I am still tired from not sleeping last night

people have set up scissors with drops etc before. I think that they were more off-road orientated builds though.
what components would you have in mind? -
• #520
Hey super,
I was thinking nice thin 700c's, riser bars, short stem. Want to keep it kind of light but not stupidly so. Also budget for the whole thing is about £500.
Thanks,
Rob

You could probably make it work perfectly well, and for your budget it probably suits - for that money I'd be on eBay for a proper road bike though...

Scissors look retarded with skinny tyres ,the new versions have even more tyre clearance too.
-
• #523
yeah im having some issues with this....
i think for the time being, im going to have to pick up a plug 2010 for like £300.
then when more money comes in get my hands in a road bike. i guess you cant do both really. a everyday bike for shopping crusing about and a proper long ride bike.
i just wish the otp plug didnt look so damn fugly

Buy a steamroller
should've said this at the beginning. definitely buy a steamroller, sounds perfect for your needs.
I used to have a plug, i now have a scissor, built up they are not noticably lighter.
Just sayin
