Don't worry too much. The truth is it actually was freezing cold, it rained most of the night, we got lost repeatedly and the average pace was a tad over 10mph.

Fine evening's riding as ever - that's my favourite of the TNRC routes. When these Garmins get down to that £19.99 price point I may even venture out to those Kent lanes in daylight.
Shame about the ticket DJ - unbelievably pedantic. Still not much else for the police to deal with in central London at 11.30pm.

Ah nice, I only got it as an extra lap on my journeys for the day so lots of junk info (here). Any idea how to separate and isolate laps from activities, either on connect, in training centre or elsewhere?
Fixed it, it was messy and took far more time and effort than I felt was necessary. Garmin software leaves a lot to be desired.

now let's talks Garmins. i am going to get one. martin, what is that one you use - is it the Garmin 55 - that is, only good for 55 miles? sorry dude, i am over it and the first 55 miles to whitstable were seemless.
i reckon the 305 series will do the business but the important thing for me is european mapping. and i couldn't give a fuck about monitoring my heart rate.Jonny, its the 705, gota have a bit of colour in your life, as well as your maps.
Heart rate monitor is good for the marital side of things, a big black strap on always spices things up a bit.
i am regretting not going
