• Selling my much loved Hill Special road bike, as i've found something that hopefully fits me a bit better.

    Got it for my 25th birthday a few years ago (it was made in '83, so was it was also 25 at the time), and she has served me proud... it's just a touch too long for me on the top tube though (as you can tell by the stem). It was bought off a fella in Somerset who originally had it built for him way back when, he even gave me all the Christmas cards that Hill Special sent him, and they still send them to me too, and i'm sure will still send them to the new owner.

    It rides beautifully.... and this is coming from a man who doesn't like 531. She got me to Dunwich without a hitch last year!

    Hill was a respected builder back in the day, and his Specials were... well... special.
    It's in overall great condition, with a few typical scrapes, as you would expect with a bike of this age.

    Campagnolo Mirage 9 speed groupset, with STI's.
    Campagnolo Veloce brakes.
    Campagnolo Athena hubs on red anodized Mavic MA3 rims (the paint was originally matched to these rims apparently!)
    Campagnolo Athena aero seatpost (polished)
    Charge saddle
    Fizik tape
    Look Delta pedals.

    54cm ST, 55cm TT.
