Mine came with batteries that lasted two years, new batteries cost more than new lights.

batteries are cheap on ebay, just search for 'cr2032'

I got some new lights yesterday & picked the packet at the back of the rack. There is a 'test me' function on the lights and people are passing by all day pressing buttons - sure way to run the battery down before someone buys them.
I got these guys, cos they is small and fit in my bag easy & don't need brackets all over me bike.

are they much brighter than the knogs?

Suprisingly bright, mate has a pair of them. Better than the knog's imo, even though i still use them.

Did you do this?
TRY ME Note: Product must be taken out of Try Me retail demonstration mode. Press and hold button until rapid flashing is observed (10 or more seconds). This mode is designed to save battery and automatically turns product off after 30 seconds.

Second that, I have those cateyes. Keep meaning to get another pair so I don't have to keep swapping them between bikes.
They don't show the road in front of you, but for city riding they are perfect.

Yep. Am just saying - people try them in store and could possibly run down the battery... -
• #13
Can you angle the knogs, especially the rear, or are they not that directional?
-
• #14
The LEDs on the rear of the Skink are angled upwards to compensate for the seatpost angle. Don't know about the others but I'd guess they would be too?

This pic makes it looks like it points down - which wouldn't be great for visibility? Am I missing something?

Just got a set of these and they are great. Nice and bright, and rechargeable from USB computer input.

Sadly this is true, I have a four LED knog for the back and two two LED knogs for the front, but have been missed only by a whisker at a couple of roundabouts. If you are at the wrong angle, people can't see them. They are now consigned to my bikebits box at work and are only there in case I forget my other lights, or to put on your bag as a bit of extra lighting.

+1 for the Cateye Loop lights. Very impressed. So impressed I've bought my girlfriend a pair too.
Lots brighter than Knogs.
So easy to switch between bikes too.

My front Knog Gecko died on the Dunwich Dynamo. Completely dead, no idea why.

Because they are (sexist) crap.

I got a set of these the other day but the batteries were totally flat. I just got the replacements which has juice in the red but not the white light.
Am I being a dick thinking these should come will a full battery or have I just been unlucky?
