what version is you mac? tower or laptop? as you seem to be quite uncertain what it is when you describe it...and as others have said..the powerbook pro g5 was never released...it went straight to the macbook pro after the powerbook g4.. and you can change the macbook processor but i dont know why you would want to unless it broke as the new models are equipped with the intel processor anyway

Is it possible to swap/upgrade a PowerPC processor of a G5 to an Intel one, keeping all the other bits?
