Also ask on bikeradar for witnesses? Are there any shops, pubs, bars nearby where staff might have seen it?

the police said they would put up one of those yellow accident signs asking for witnesses but not sure when thats going to happen. it was on a residential stretch of the road. will check out bike radar, thanks for that.

Disgusting hit-and-run. It caused a fractured pelvis! I really hope she'll be OK, but pelvic injuries can be terrible. Good luck with finding witnesses and best wishes to her!

Have you got any details regarding the make/colour of the car?
Perhaps someone saw it down the road (probably driving erratically to avoid being stopped)? -

That is my daily commute but didn't see anything on Thursday - what time did it happen? I'll ask my housemates and local friends. How utterly disgusting. Good luck finding the car/driver. Get well soon rider!

I doubt door knocking will produce any results. Have a look along the likely route to and from the scene of accident for cctv. If there are any details of the vehicle involved it should be possible to spot it should any footage be available. It should equally be possible to narrow it down to a small number of vehicles from time details such as 999 calls.

I wonder if fractured pelvis comes under 'slight' if you are predicted to recover from it.

'Serious' means 'admitted overnight to Hospital'.
This means some small injuries which need an intricate fix are 'serious', whereas if you can get out of hosptal on crutches, your injury may be 'slight'.
My friend was hit buy a car as she was cycling across Camberwell New Road on thursday evening around midnight. The car skipped a red light and hit her and then drove off. She has broken her ankle and fractured her pelvis but she will be ok. Was there anyone around there that saw the accident and has heard anything about it?
The police have taken her bike to try and find any evidence on it but unless there is CCTV footage (which they dont think will cover where the crash happened) there is nothing they can do to find the driver.
