huh. so it is! blast from summer of 1997 i'm guessing? wow. major flashbacks. the sound of my basement room (hot summer, freedom, weed, rickety wooden stairs down to my little retreat with, candles in the fireplace, rollies, bay windows opening out into an overgrown garden) in my first flat in hackney. now i need to listen to some sly and the family stone, roy ayers and this:

Sounds like a similar few summers had from 93-97
Nice call on the Shadow.
Those days may be gone, but the music is still so evocative.
I've got a stack of mixtapes from that period that I just gotta get round to digitizing.
