the diameter looks too small. The caps look to thin. It isn't better than a mallet I can make myself.

I can see it would be good at tournaments, to have a stall so if you break your mallet you can go buy a new one. But personally it doesn't do what I like my mallets to do. I am very demanding.

It's an ugly grey... I'll stick to pretty pipe thanks.
