Bike Anti-Porn - When Things Go Wrong

The message you sent me privately was cool. Then you go and publically post this. how many faces do you have. I think after this message I'm going to delete my account. It seems like some people live on this forum and have nothing better to do than spite venom at people they don't know or have even met. Its like some wird lynch mob. You made you guys judge and jury on what constitute a nice bike? Get over yourselves. Half of you only got into this whole fixed gear thing now that its somewhat fashionable. I've been around for a bit. That neon bike was given to me Benedict Radcliffe. One off the first he made, Then I got Andy Ellis from FGL to change the handle bars for me.

WTF - A lot of us on here were riding fixed before you ever rode a bike, back when it was called riding a bicycle, that happened to have a fixed drive train. The kind of bikes you have built are based on components chosen for looks over performance to the detriment of the performance of the bicycle itself - if ever i saw examples of johnny come lately fixie hipster builds its those - who gives a shit if some east end artist put together a bike - tell me Mather, Yates, Robert, even Walker put it together then i would be impressed, not that some hipster powdercoated some old iron yellow. I would be suprised if you had been riding a fixed gear for over 5 years.

If you are going to put together bikes so obviously designed to attract attention, dont be suprised if they create a love/hate reaction.

This isnt a slur on you, i dont have any dislike for your rides - i have bikes that are pure antiporn, that have components on them that i chose based on looks over performance too, but i like em and couldnt give a fuck if they end up in antiporn. Hell i had Bikesnob tear me a new one over my Lo Pro!

If more people joined the forum, and took advantage of teh knowledge base of the memebers, then they would probably end up building better bikes, and stop putting together machines that are lifestyle accesories first, and transport second.
