I like STA Travel.

Don't know if that was sarcasm or not but they are coming up at around 10% more than flights I can find myself (returns) don't know if it would be a different story multi stop

Nope, I book most of my flights through them. They were always competitive. Maybe you have better flight search sites?
What dates are you using and which airports?

Expedia is coming up £100 cheaper for 1 Jul - 15 Jul compared to STA. There's usually far less difference and then in-store they'll find something better. Can't win 'em all.

Tentative plans are:
Leave 25th Aug Manchester (or London) to Shanghai
Leave 1st Sept Shaghai to Tokyo
Leave 15th Sept Tokyo to Bangkok
Leave 6th Oct Bangkok to Manchester (London)Best I've got so far is about £1100 which I am happy with but through a US site I haven't heard of. I'll give STA an email and perhaps they can match it as I'm quite flexible. In terms of normal return flights I haven't found anywhere better than skyscanner.net

Could try trailfinders they are usually very good, not sure how competitive they will be though.

I'm booking multistop flights today at Global Village, They were MUCH cheaper than other quotes or what I could find online. They have an office by Camden Passage, you should ask them.

ebookers, kayak, opodo. All of them are good.

Had a look into the other options but they are looking way more expensive.
Most annoying thing is Kayak are quoting me £3400+ but their US sister site (sidestep.com) using seemingly the same search engine the same exact flights come up at only £1100. Hopefully I can book throught the US site..

I usually check many different sites, but then book through the individual airline. Why not just get a roundtrip from say BKK or Shanghai and use the discount airlines (like Air Asia) to hit your other destinations?

^^^ This. The Air Asia store in Chiang Mai in Thailand did some amazingly cheap flights across asia when I was there. Think easyjet prices but better.

I work for STA Travel.
What price you found so far? I'll put something together if you want?

By the way, looking at your route - Shanghai to Tokyo is always going to be incredibly expensive.
Have you thought about doing something like
London - Tokyo - Bangkok - Shanghai - London ? This will save you a tonne i guaruntee it.

i've flown regularly last 7yrs to aus and back with emirates, never faulted their service or price.
Hi, anyone know the best place to look for multistop flights? I'm thinking of going to Japan, do a few weeks cycling, then onto Thailand, Vietnam etc.
Might consider short stopover in China if it's 'on the way. Or is it cheapest to book two returns? Also anyone know if it is feasible to hire a decent bike in Japan as I'm happy to be a beach bum after that?
