Simple is good, logos, URL, acronym. Job done! Personally I like the skid mark as everyman and his dog is yelling out do a skid it seems representative of us.
Personally black doesn't bother me, if we can only afford a run of one colour I'd prefer that than white.
Less dicking about more doing, otherwise you'll get bogged down in the debate of it, rather than the actual making and wearing of them.
If you make them people will wear them, see Dmczone and the "531 awesome" t-shirts, and pretty much anything the polo boys produce.

Personally I would never submit my designs to this forum as my confidence couldn't take another battering. At the most, I can make the 'o' a sproket, but some people might not like that either.

Keeping it simple is the only way IMO to get these actually agreed on.

I haz emailed Carvalho custom for prices, size and colour.
Just thought that the champ stripes should be ribbon as it'll look gash just printed, so should be go without if they can't do it / it takes the price up?
We'd need something else as they'll look dull without, but then we're entering dangerous territory again.

Executive decisions:

Take off the .com, just LFGSS (in caps). If we get a choice of font then speak to big daddy wayne as he's in charge of brand/design re: LFGSS and has a font lined up that will be the new header in the next month or two.

Whatever money you make, minimum 20% of profit should be donated back to LFGSS as you actually are using the forum name. That still leaves you with tons of profit for yourself, and if you lose money you don't have to donate a damn thing.

The stripes, ask big daddy wayne again... if there's a choice let him dictate it.

I definitely think the simplicity is a winner though. No point making it overly complex at all. Wouldn't even put HTFU on the back... just LFGSS on the sides and peak (and subtler on the peak to boot).

Oh, and speak to Tokyo Fixed Gear, I'm sure Max would love to sell these in the shop and to act as a distribution point should no-one want to have to deal with that. They do mail order too so that would take care of overseas requests for one.

Happy for whoever does the work to make money... just saying if you're using the forum name then there is a minimum donation expected from the profits.

More expensive, but wholesale options, nicer fit, more choice in materials, embroidery rather than silk screen, etc.

For me caps and gloves are things I want to be just right with no corners cut. I have no problem paying a little more for a better made cap that lasts for ages and serves me well. It all works out the same to me, buying cheap caps mean I go through a few a year so the cost is pretty much the same.

At least... work out the options, I do like stuff that bears the LFGSS name to be quality even if it is affordable.
