*First time on a really tight, steep uphill junction
*Once after breaking a chain going down a massive hill in the middle of the highlands, I was concentrating so hard on controlling a massive skid due to a locked rear wheel that when I did stop I forgot about my clips and fell in a ditch
*Once when I was drunk and showing off in a garage forecourt
*Last weekend some old guy tried to force past me in hatchback going through a pedestrial crossing (the kind that split the road) and I took a wobble and fell over
My worst crash on a bike (including my motocrosser) ever was 2 weeks after getting my fixed gear with no straps. I hit a the side of a van after loosing my pedals going round a roundabout and ended up in hospital with concussion, bruised ribs, hips, arse etc. and selective memory (haha). I still ride with no straps every now and again for convienience but am **very careful **and ride a lot slower and more cautiously.
