Just changed my much loved 78 camper van after 8 years for this 77 Swedish import. 19,000 kms from new, it's like driving a NOS van. Totally unrestored, been garaged since some time in the 80s and totally solid, just a spot of repair needed on the tailgate where the window seal has let some water in.
It's got a 2-litre type-4 with Bosch fuel injection, which is a revelation after the wheezy 1600 type1 in my old hi-top bay, and the gearchange is like a rifle bolt compared to the tired old cogbox with worn syncros. And the brakes, they've got a servo, aaand it's got a petrol powered heater. High spec wins, just check out the headlight washers - with electric pump. Fucking luxury.
