yeah, kryptonite locks don't use those circular keys anymore. that video appears to be from toronto (unless there's another urbane cyclist) where bike crime is rife, at least as bad but probably worse than london.
the ny lock is one of the strongest on the markets, you can't do much better really... probably overkill if you're using it in brum though, but sometimes it's best to be overequipped.
