I am reppin' Colchester! Its a really cool town, but I have only seen 2 fixies and the rest are people that go to the sixth form, running freewheel create bike shitters! If anyone wants to go for a ride then I am totally down; I usually resort on going out on road rides at 53-12, which gets a little awkward when I roll up in my jeans and a t-shirt :)

There is this
http://www.lfgss.com/thread51510.htmlA journey into Essex- do you want to meet up?
-

I would so be doing that if I could get to the start :/ Oh, and I spotted a Sirius with green B43's with matching anodized parts with BLB stickers all over it yesterday. Still only the 3rd fixie I have seen in Colch, he most definitely shut me down on my Mongoose!

Train to Stratford , then be naughty and take the Central Line to Leytonstone and you are at the start.

I'm from Essex but left 11 years ago, been a lot of places since but in Berkshire now.

I'm from Brentwood and cycling is one of the only things that keeps me sane in this area!
I tend to do a nice low-traffic, flat route through Blackmore--> Writtle--> Fyfield-->Ongar--> and back to Brentwood.
Saw quite a few cyclists between Blackmore and Writtle today, couple of them on fixed.

Not too far from me. I'm not far from Elm Park, although I can never find anywhere nice to ride.

Basildonk!

Where do you ride then?
-
• #68
Today - Hammersmith > Upminster. Watched the football the old chap and returned Upminster > Hammrsmith.

Thats a fair old cycle, I need to get back on it again. Lost touch in the past year what with work, I have the Kentish Killer coming up so need to get a few rides in to get used to it!

Yeah, just pootled along and looked at all the development that's occurred/is occurring along the route. Fascinating really. Realised that some of the truly less than desirable places I used to frequent as a youth really were awful.
Impressed to see that the cinema in Ilford (which became a venue for gigs) is now a gigantic curry-house. Genius!
Romford Dogs has survived too, but it still has all the redeeming qualities of Satan's rectum.

Haha, yeah. I sometimes cycle from Brentwood to Central London and people always shout some bollocks at me whenever I'm riding through Romford including: 'Bicycle wanker,' 'Get a life!' and unfortunately some racial epithets. Really gotta move to London!
-

Bicycle wanker and get a life? Jesus. I didn't do badly today - whilst filtering I got called "fucking prick" and then I got called "cunt" by some blind tosser who decided to turn left without signalling in his Dad's Mercedes so I growled and whacked the bonnet as I went past.

We should have a little ride into London soon. Anyone up for that?
I'm only 10 mins from Upminster.
-
• #74
I'm from Upminster, but live in Hammersmith. If this happens, I'll get out to you guys and ride back in. You lot can ride back out.
